The Empire State Building is a skyscraper located at the intersection of Fifth Avenue and West 34th Street, in New York City, United States. Its name derives from the nickname of the State of New York. It was the tallest building in the world for forty years, from its completion in 1931 until 1971, the year construction of the north tower of the World Trade Center was completed. Currently, the Empire State is one of the most emblematic and iconic skyscrapers in the world due to its history and its remarkable height in the last century. Including the antenna, its height is 443 meters (1,453.4 feet), making it the third tallest building in New York City behind One World Trade Center and Central Park Tower.3
