Pictured is an oil on canvas painting titled The Divers, Red and Black, by French artist Fernand Leger on display in the Dallas Museum of Art. It was painted in 1942. Joseph Fernand Henri Leger was born in 1881 an died in 1955. He was a painter, sculptor and filmaker. In his early works he created a personal form of cubism known as cubism which he gradually modified into a more figurative populist style, as in this painting.
