The Epiphany Monastery, founded in the 15th century by the Monk Nikita of Kostroma, a disciple and relative of St. Sergius of Radonezh, in 1863 was transformed into the convent of the Epiphany-Anastasia for women. After closing in the 20th century, the monastery was revived in 1990-1991.
