The Castle of San Giorgio is located next to the Arrone stream, it is incorporated into the Maccarese estate which also preserves other structures and places of historical importance. The entrance to the Castle is currently through the gardens organized with an elegant geometric scheme, reflecting the regular structure of the typical Italian garden of the seventeenth century in which the flowerbeds are bordered by low mortella hedges and the space is organized on two longitudinal axes. On the left, looking at the façade, you can still see the Porta Leprignana, which recalls the ancient access road. Beyond the garden you can access, through a gate directly from the outside, the Church of San Giorgio, of medieval foundation, passing the large portal you reach a large entrance hall in which there are some works that recall the different phases in the history of the Castle.
