The Governor Edmund G. Brown California Aqueduct runs from the Sierra Nevada Mountains through a series of channels and canals into drought-stricken Southern California. It provides much-needed water to large metropolitan areas like Los Angeles, but is a major source of contention for the agriculture industry in Northern California.
