Rondeletta odorata Jacq. is a shrub of the Rubiaceae family, belonging to the genus Rondella, and can reach a height of up to 2 meters Leaves opposite, leathery, ovate, elliptical or oblong in shape, with edges curled back. The leaves are often wrinkled on both sides, with triangular stipules and soft hairs. The inflorescence is terminal, with several to many flowers and a peduncle The calyx tube is nearly spherical, the lobes are linear, the corolla is bright red, the throat is yellowish, the crown tube is weak, the capsule is spherical, densely covered with pubescence, and it blooms from July to September.
