Robinia pseudoacacia L. is a deciduous tree of the Robinia genus in the legume family. The bark is gray brown, deeply longitudinally split, and sparsely smooth. There are thorns on the branches, and the leaves are pinnate compound leaves, elliptical or ovate. The flowers are fragrant, the style is diamond shaped, and the flowering period is from April to June. The pods are linear and round, brown or with reddish brown markings, and the fruit period is from August to September. The seed is nearly renal shaped, with a round hilum that is biased towards one end.
