The fortress of San Leo also known as Montefeltro built upon a 583 metres high rocky mount. The origins of the fortress are about in the 6th century but the present structure was ordered by Federico da Montefeltro at the end of 15th century. The fortress was also used as a prison where the famous alchemist count Cagliostro died in 1795.
