Pictured is a Texas Historical Marker for the Bedford Reunion at the Bedford Cemetery in Bedford, Texas. For 58 years between 1912 and 1969, an annual event occurred at the Bedford Church of Christ, honoring memories of the Bedford College which had been established in 1874 in the New Hope Church. The school burned in 1894 and never reopened. The New Hope Church had become known as the Bedford Church of Christ when the first reunion was held in 1912, attended by approximately 500 people. The marker was erected in 2002 and stands in the Bedford Cemetery adjacent to the Northeast Tarrant County Confederate Civil War Memorial.
