One of Gloucester Harbor`s historic landmarks lays in decay. The Tarr and Wonson copper paint factory has been a fixture on the shore of Gloucester harbor since 1863. Their paint was the first to successfully combat the destruction of boat hulls by tubeworms. Their paint was shipped for more than a century to ports around the world.
