It was built in 1954 in a neoclassical style. Inside the church is the image of Santa Ana, patron saint of Tarma. The construction is in the shape of a Latin cross and has two towers. The construction was in charge of the civil engineer Don Jorge Antonio Borda Morey by direct order of the then president Odria.
