In New Orleans flood damaged Ninth Ward. After hurricane Katrina residents of New Orleans were evacuated to Houston. Some returned to New Orleans angry upset over the cold welcome they were given outside New Orleans. While I was evacuated to northern Louisiana after Katrina I heard local radio talk shows depicting evacuees as thieves and drug dealers. We were seen a problem to contain. I personally never witnessed anything but open arms and incredible kindness.
