The complete Arbain hadith contains less than 50 hadiths. Even though it is named Arba& x27;în & x28;meaning 40& x29;, this book does not contain exactly 40 hadiths, but 42 hadiths. These hadiths relate to the pillars of Islam, both ushul & x28;principal& x29; and furu& x27; & x28;branches& x29;, as well as hadiths related to jihad, zuhud, advice, adab, good intentions and the like.
