Actress Suzanne Somers headlines as a singer, dancer, and comedienne at The Mill Run Playhouse Theatre in Niles, Illinois, near Chicago, in 1980. The venue, a theater-in-the-round, seating 1,600 people opened in 1965 and closed its doors in 1984. Somers, an exercise and diet maven, achieved fame playing the ditzy role of `Chrissy Snow` on the hit ABC-TV 8-season comedy hit, `Three`s Company,` which ran from 1977 until 1984. She left after five seasons following a contract dispute. Somers was well known for her exercise videos using her product, the ThighMaster, an important element in her health, diet, and exercise empire. Suzanne Somers died at her home in Palm Springs, California, after a decades-long battle with breast cancer, on October 15, 2023, on the eve of her 77th birthday.
