In 1883, `Kabiyuk` was already a state stud farm for the improvement of the local horse. Great credit for this goes to Prince Alexander Battenberg and former minister Grigor Nacevic. Prince Battenberg chose the stud farm as his summer residence, building a Gothic-style residence there - the `Palace`. The stud farm bears the name `Alexandrovsky State Horse Stud and Factory Stable`, and the name of the Ministry of War is placed above this inscription. Its purpose is to breed mainly horses for the needs of the army.
