Vézénobres, in Occitan Vesenòbre, is a French commune located in the center of the Gard department, in the Occitanie region.Exposed to a Mediterranean climate, it is drained by the Gard, the Gardon d'Alès, the Avène and by various other small rivers. The town has a remarkable natural heritage made up of two natural areas of ecological, faunal and floristic interest.Vézénobres is a rural town with 1,824 inhabitants in 2020, after having experienced a sharp increase in population since 1962. It is part of the attraction area of Alès. Its inhabitants are called Vézénobrais or Vézénobraises.The architectural heritage of the town includes three buildings protected as historical monuments: the Château de Calvières, listed in 1947, the Foucart house, listed in 1963, and the Porte de Vézénobres, listed in 1964.
