Pictured is a stone sculpture carved into the Mokattam hills above the entrance to the Church of Saint Marcus and the St. Simon Tanner hall. The sculpture depicts Jesus coming to Jerusalem as King, riding a colt as he descends from Mount Olive. Verses from Luke below the sculpture captured what happened. Crowd of disciples joyfully proclaimed `Blessed is the king who comes in the name of the Lord`. Pharisees in the crowd said to Jesus, `Teacher, rebuke your disciples`. Jesus replied, `if they keep quiet, the stones will cry out`.
