An immense sculpture created of stone boulders reaches high into the sky. Part of the Messner Mountain Museum located near the northern Italian city of Bolzano, Italy, the giant Stone Man is a towering figure on the lawn of the museum. The museum was founded by legendary climber, Reinhold Messner and is dedicated to the sport of mountain climbing. The ancient building housing the museum was once known as Firmian Castle.
