This statue of Honenes Gutenberg, by sculptor David D`Angers in 1870, stands in Place Gutenberg in Strasbourg, France. The printer is shown holding a piece of paper on which appears the notto: `Et la Lumière Fut` - Let there be light. The plinth shows numerous famous figures of the period as well as small children learnbing to read.
