This is a picture of St. Columbanus Catholic Church on the south side of Chicago, Illinois. The church was completed in September of 1923. It was the neighborhood church of Al Capone and his mother and wife attended daily mass there. In the mid 1950's the parish had a majority of African American parisoners. St. Columbanus is one of the oldest African American Catholic parishes in Chicago. This picture was taken on October 29, 2014.
