The Squamish Lil’wat Cultural Centre SLCC is a First Nations’ gallery and museum showcasing West Coast indigenous art, culture and historical artifacts in Whistler, British Columbia, Canada. The center is a three-story building designed to evoke the form of a Squamish Longhouse and Lil’wat Istken earthen dwelling. The SLCC embodies the partnership between members of both the Sk̲wxwú7mesh Úxwumixw Squamish Nation, Coast Salish and LÃlÌ“wat7ul Lil’wat Nation, Interior Salish Nations. Ambassadors share their knowledge and stories with guests, augmenting the information shared throughout the centre’s curated collection of artifacts and contemporary pieces.
