Sovereign double-headed golden eagle on the Main gate of the Winter Palace in St. Petersburg. 1850s. Architects N.A. Gornostaev, R.F. Meltzer. Eagle was dismantled in 1917. Restored in the 1980s. Author of the restoration is the sculptor S.G. Lebedeva
