Stock Photo: Southampton Town Walls

Part of the medieval wall built in the early 15th century to protect Southampton on England's south coast. This part is known as God's House Tower and protected the sluice gates which fed Southampton's moat. The tower was the headquarters of the town gunner and later became a debtors' prison and a felons' gaol.
