Pictured is a snowy egret, binomial name Egretta thula, standing in the water of the edge of Chokoloskee Bay in Florida. The snowy egret eats fish, crustaceans, lizards, snakes, snails, frogs, toads and worms. Chokoloskee Bay is roughly 10 miles long and 2 miles wide and is located along Florida s Gulf Coast and is separated from the Gulf of Mexico by the Ten Thousand Islands.
