The spring is located in the pavilion of the Park Colonnade. The name of the spring is derived from grass snakes that had inhabited areas behind the colonnades in large numbers. The Snake Spring contains less minerals than other springs but is considerably richer in carbon dioxide. Karlovy Vary is a world-famous and popular spa town.
