A very small sand beach, its popular restaurant and funicular betwen industrial ruins, the Cristo Rei (Christ King) monument and the 25 of April beach in the Southern bank and the mouth of Tagus river, Almada municipalitty, Southern suburbs of Lisbon, Portugal. The funicular gives acess to the urban areas of Almada municipality. The decadent buildings were part of the so called Lisbon Industrial Belt tah becames inactive with the economic and the productive changes and the integration of Portugal in the EEC.
