January 18,2011 Beleghata,Kolkata,India,Asia-Road side slum dwellers of Kolkata. Most of the transient roadside settlements and slum have been formed by refugees from East Pakistan. Infiltration in the city also takes place frequently from the villages of 24 paraganas. The slum dweller are mostly engaged as domestic servants, sweepers, daily wage labors, small traders etc.
