Slane Castle is a 17th-century castle located in Slane, County Meath, Ireland. It is the ancestral home of the Conyngham family. The castle was built in 1669 by William Conyngham, the 1st Earl of Mount Charles. The castle is a popular tourist destination and is known for its annual Slane Castle Festival, which has hosted some of the biggest names in music, including U2, The Rolling Stones, and David Bowie.
