The Temple of Sri Dalada is a world famous shrine where the left canine tooth of Lord Gautama Buddha is enshrined. This temple, which is worshiped daily by thousands of local and foreign devotees and tourists, was designated as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 1988.
