Former New York State Assembly leader Sheldon Silver, a Democrat, marches up Manhattan’s Fifth Avenue in New York City’s Celebrate Israel Parade, on May 31, 2015. Over 30,000 people participated, and over 100,000 spectators lined both sides of the magnificent boulevard from 57th Street to 74th Street. Silver reputation has been severely damage by corruption allegations which forced him to step down as Assembly Speaker.
