Sheffield Central Library was built in 1934 in an Art Deco style with Egyptian style decorative mouldings by Alfred and William Tory. The Graves Art Gallery is on the third floor. It is named after the benefactor John George Graves a former Lord Mayor of Sheffield and local businessman.
