Shanghai Bund is located on the banks of the Huangpu River in Shanghai, China. The Bund is 1.5 kilometers in length. It runs from Yan`an East Road in the south to Waibaidu Bridge in Suzhou Creek in the north. Since 1943, the official road of the Bund has been named Zhongshan East Road. After Shanghai was opened as a commercial port, foreign banks, commercial banks, associations and newspapers began to gather here. The Bund quickly became the financial center of the whole country and the Far East. The Bund stands at 52 classical revival buildings of different styles and is known as the Bund IWC. It is one of the important landmarks in modern and important Chinese history and representative buildings in Shanghai. The Pudong Lujiazui, opposite to the Bund and the River, houses Shanghai Oriental Pearl Tower, Jinmao Tower, Shanghai Center and Shanghai World Financial Center, becoming the symbol of China`s reform and opening up and the epitome of Shanghai`s modernization.
