Image of a view of detail on the crumbling upper stone built rampart walls of the the old historic Wonderboompoort fort in Pretoria, South Africa. Fort Wonderboompoort as well as two other forts outside Pretoria were designed by Von Dewitz and Werner of the German engineering company Krupp. The fort was supplied with electricity from a paraffin engine, and equipped with a lightning conductor. The fort was also had both an underground telegraph and running water pumped from the Apies River.
