Central market in Cape Coast, coastal town and one of the largest agglomerations in Ghana (western Africa). This is the busiest part of Cape Coast, crowds of people flow though narrow street where vendors sell everything, from fresh fish and live snails to cloth and electronics. Most people sell and buy right on the street, there are also numerous simple shops that sell indoor or outdoor. The woman on the left sells fresh fish, but the mobile vendors to her right sell shoes, both new and used. The shoes are transported on wooden wheeled platforms, and they are completely mixed together, so it is difficult to find the left and right shoe from the same pair. Markets in Ghanian town are remarkable, they are situated in city centers along the streets. There is an enormous crowd of people there, it looks as is everybody in a town was selling something. Many vendors are mobile and carried on heads in a form of glass-aluminium-wood boxes. This way, for example, fast food and water is being sold. Recent Ghana undergoes substantial social and economic changes and a part of these changes is driven by an increasing access of people to the internet and mobile phones. Streets are dotted with red umbrellas and advertisements of Vodafone, a mobile phone British company that dynamically takes over this new telecommunication market.
