A sculpture by Linda Brunker entitled the Children of Lir which is located on the shores of Lough Owel near Mullingar in County Westmeath in Ireland. The sculpture was commissioned by Westmeath County Council in 1993 and recalls the myth of the children of Lir which in Irish storytelling, is classed one of the ‘The Three Sorrows of storytelling.
