Sculpture "Les Quatre Parties du monde soutenant la sphère céleste" by Jean-Baptiste Carpeaux at the Orsay Museum in Paris, France. The museum is housed in the former Gare d'Orsay a railway station built between 1898 and 1900. Baron Haussmann, the prefect of Paris who gave the city the face we know today, commissioned Carpeaux to design a fountain for the Observatoire Garden in 1867. The sculptor chose the theme of the four parts of the world turning around the celestial sphere.
