Sanxiantai in the northeast of Chenggong Town, Taitung County, is composed of offshore islands and coral reef coasts. Strange rocks are scattered on the island, including three huge rocks. Legend has it that Lu Dongbin, Li Tieguai, and He Xiangu once visited this island, hence its name. . In the past, tourists who wanted to visit Sanxiantai could only wade through the water at low tide. In 1987, the eight-arch cross-sea pedestrian bridge was completed. Its wave shape resembles a giant dragon lying on the sea, connecting Sanxiantai and the main island. It has become a very famous landmark on the East Coast.
