The Ropucha-class toad, or Project 775 landing ships are classified in the Russian Navy as `large landing craft` Bol`shoy Desantnyy Korabl. BDK-43 `Minsk` is the sixth in a series of 13 ships of the project 775 / II, which is the second series of ships of the project 775. The series was built at the shipyard of Gdansk, Poland.
