St Peter's Church, Bournemouth built between 1854 1879 It is a Church of England Parish Church in the Gothic Revival style. The spire is 202 feet 62 meters tall. The church has 8 bell ranging from a 250kg to 1 ton in weight. Mary Shelley, author of Frankenstein, is interred here, reputedly along with the heart of her husband, the poet Percy Bysshe Shelley, who had died in Sardinia.
