Pictured is `Saint Hubert and the Stag`, an early 16th century East French limestone relief in the Cloisters in Fort Tyrone Park in Washington Heights, Manhattan, New York City. Governed by the Metropolitan Museum of Art, the Cloisters specializes in medieval art and architecture with a focus on Romanesque and Gothic periods. The relief represents Hubert`s conversion which occurred when he encountered a white stag bearing a crucifix between its antlers while hunting during Holy Week. Renouncing all worldly life, Hubert first became a hermit, was later ordained a priest, and finally became bishop of Liege.
