The ruins of the castle built of white limestone rock, silhouetted against a cloudy sky. The town of Olsztyn is located in the voivodeship of Silesia and lies on the Trail of the Eagles Nests (Szlak Orlich Gniazd in Polish), a popular tourist route featuring a number of medieval castles, some of them in ruins. The region is called Polish Jurassic Highland, also known as Krakow-Czestochowa Upland or Jura Krakowsko-Czestochowska in Polish.
