The current brick church was built in 1874-76 by the parish priest, Father Teofil Hryniewicki, on the site of a wooden temple from 1744, burned down by lightning in 1872. The building was consecrated on December 18, 1876 by the dean of Bia?ystok, Father Stanis?aw Lubotycki.During World War I and II, the temple was shelled. Therefore, the tower was rebuilt in a changed form. In the 1980s, the church was thoroughly renovated. The building's furnishings include neo-Gothic altars built at the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries.
