Welsh actor and director Roger Rees is captured in this monochrome portrait at the American Theatre Wing Spring Gala, a charity benefit at Cipriani 42nd Street in Manhattan on June 4, 2007. The ceremony honored Tony winning actors Carol Channing, James Earl Jones and choreographer and dancer Tommy Tune. Rees won both the Olivier and Tony Awards for his role as the lead actor in `The Life and Adventures of Nicholas Nickleby.` He died at 71 on July 10, 2015.
