There are all kinds of stores in the coastal town of Rockport, Massachusetts, but definitely no one selling liquor. Since 1856 it has been illegal to sell alcoholic beverages. Only recently the ban was lifted for restaurants in this most sober town 25 miles (40 km) northeast of Boston.
