There will be artists who are famous in Latvia and around the world, and they will be performing – soloists Liene KinÄa, Evija Martinsone, Egils Siliņš and Daumants Kalniņš, the RÄ«ga “Ave Sol†Chamber Choir, the Latvian National Opera Choir and the Festival Orchestra. Andris Veismanis will be the concert’s artistic director and conductor. To emphasize famous composer Richard Wagner’s connection with RÄ«ga, the evening concert on 16th August will open symbolically with Richard Wagner’s Overture for the opera “Rienziâ€. This is a work which Wagner wrote and performed in RÄ«ga. A colorful interplay of stage design, lighting and music – true enjoyment for all listeners.
