Israeli mega-star singer/recording artist, Ofra Haza is joined by American talk show host and radio personality Richard Bey in Jerusalem on March 24, 1988. The occasion was a performance for a New York-based tv show which came to town to publicize and highlight Israel on its upcoming 40th anniversary. Haza was her country`s unofficial cultural ambassador whose pop music was a fusion of her Yeminite roots and Middle Eastern and Western influences, and she became an international star. Haza died at 42 from AIDS-related pneumonia on February 23, 2000.
