Hunza, Gilgit-Baltistan - September 29, 2016: The magnificent Baltit Fort high on a plateau in the town of Karimabad, Hunza. The fort`s foundations date to approximately 700 years ago. Now a cultural heritage site, the fort was the residence of the Mirs or rulers of Hunza until 1945. Karimabad is the former capital of Hunza. It is located at a height of 2,500 meters. The region is predominantly Shia.
