Actress, screenwriter, producer, director, and playwright Renee Taylor is photographed in Manhattan`s theater district on September 2, 2001. Taylor was perhaps best know on tv for her role as `Sylvia Fine,` the mother of Fran Drescher`s character in `The Nanny.` Taylor and husband Joseph Bologna were both nominated for an Oscar their screen adaptation for `Lovers and other Strangers.` Two days after observing their 52nd wedding anniversary, her husband, Bologna, died from pancreatic cancer in California, on August 13, 2017.
