Pictured is a red granite striding colossal statue of Ramesses II as standard bearer in front of the Museum of Egyptian Antiquities in Cairo, Egypt. The statue was found in Armant in 1913. The museum was built in 1901 to a design by French architect Marcel Dourgnon. In 2022, the museum is due to be superseded by the newer and larger Grand Egyptian Museum at Giza.
