Radishes are a kind of radish from the cruciferous family. The tubers can become up to four centimeters thick, their sharp taste they get from the mustard oil contained in them. Radishes were first mentioned in the 16th century, although their true origin is unclear. It is assumed that radishes could originally come from France.
